Write a ‘Dear Senior’ Letter

As I start to work on information to send out to the Class of 2018 (yes, crazy, I know. :P), I am gathering up new reviews to feature in the Senior Magazine! They are going to be in the form of letters to the Class of 2018 about your experience with me! They will cover from when you were booking your session to receiving your final product! This way, future seniors will get an idea of the full process and better understand the entire experience with Olivia Renee Seniors. The letters will be featured in the magazine with several of your images on your very own page. 🙂
If you’re interested in writing a ‘Dear Seniorletter, here are some guidelines!!
Start your letter with ‘Dear Senior,’
That’s an easy one. 😛 Just write this like you are talking to a friend who is thinking about booking their senior session with me!
Make sure your letter is about one page long.
They will go across two pages (a spread) in the magazine so I want to make sure they fill the space!
Cover the whole experience!
You can write about why you chose to work with me for your senior portraits, the process of booking your session and getting ready for it, the actual session, your order appointment, your final prints/products you got…anything you can think of as long as it covers your whole experience! You can write about any part of your experience from getting your hair and make up done, hanging out with me at your shoot, convincing your parents to buy the collection you really wanted, why you chose the type of session you chose…anything, and everything. (If you are on Team Seventeen, don’t focus too much on that part but you can mention it if you want.)
So to recap:
  • Just write it like you are writing a letter to your BFF who is graduating next year.
  • Include your experience, start to finish!
  • Make sure it’s long enough! (Probably 500-700 words!)
And Then….
If your letter gets chosen for a featured review in the magazine, you’ll get to book a complimentary BFF session for you and your friends (I will probably feature 2-3).

Accepting until October 30th! So take your time, no rush. This is totally optional but a great opportunity for anyone who wants more print credit or a BFF shoot!! 🙂 Plus, I will know what parts of your senior session experience were your favorite/really stood out to you which will help me make it even better next year!

To submit your letter just send me an email with ‘Dear Senior’ in the subject and include your letter (in the body or attached) , by October 30th.
Examples are at the top!
xoxo
Olivia
