A photographer friend, Jared Rey, came to Portland for a workshop and wanted to do a shoot while he was here! This was in March and we were in the middle of all the rain and had landslides and down trees and it was supposed to continue to rain the day he was planning on doing his shoot. I started to help him with contingency plans that ended up so complicated that I just volunteered to come with him and be his Portland tour guide. I know how to read a weather radar like nobody’s business, so the plan was I was going to help shuttle him around to different locations where it was currently dry.

Then we got to the park we were shooting at with our gorgeous model Riley…and it was bright and sunny the whole time we were shooting. So no contingency plans needed and we ended up getting to explore downtown as well. At one point, Jared stopped to rescue a couple of business owners trying to take a headshot for their website with a self timer. We thought they were coming to tell us not to shoot in front of their building, but they were actually just totally in over their heads and needed someone to help them, ha!
