You only get senior portraits ONE TIME. You should pick your senior photographer based on what you want the final result to be. You should pick the photographer YOU LOVE.

Sure, everyone is comparing prices and how many photos do you get in this package and how many outfits can you wear with this photographer but… is the number of locations included with your senior session going to matter if you end up with photos you don’t even really like?

You should choose a photographer based on factors more like this:

• Do their images match your aesthetic? DO YOU LOVE THEM?? Do you like the way they edit colors? Do you like the way their images are retouched?

• Do you trust them to photograph you well no matter what you look like? This has been huge in the past for me!! I have definitely worked with photographers myself who haven’t edited my skin tone in a flattering way or very clearly only work with “model” type bodies. You shouldn’t have to fit a certain mold to get amazing images!!

• Do they offer what you are going to need in terms of help planning your session or are you on your own?

The thing about photography is that it is SO personal. To you AND to the photographer. No photographer does anything exactly the same as the next! (It’s kind of why we do this, so that we can run things the way that works best for us, haha)

So in summary: Pick your photographer based on how you want your PHOTOS AND EXPERIENCE to be. Not the number of outfit changes you get. 😉 You’re going to be so much happier and glowing and confident in those photos.
